Upgraded to my A700 from my KM 5D. I love this camera! It works great with all my minolta lenses and I like the 5fps shooting, with a fast card I'm never waiting around.
Startup is very fast and I don't have any dust issues - I have had it for 9 months. Since V4 Firmware you can put my image quality rating to a 5. I think for the money this is the best camera you can get but to be honest in this price range there are no bad cameras.
Battery life is superb.
Problems:
I'd like a custom self timer so I can set how long I can time for when using Mirror Lock Up, only a minor thing though.
Live view would be nice, but only it it doen't sacrifice the viewfinder size, which I think the sony system tends to do so I'm happy without.
