I had tough tough choice among G200, LX3, S100fs and G10. This camera is no winner in any of my criteria categories but without any noticed weakness, then the classic style akin to Contax G2 is the decisive factor.
IMO and brief testing in shops, LX3 was the IQ winner (by far) while G200 speed (by far), S100 zoom range and color.
Pro's
1) Classic appearance, robust construction; reminding me of my Contax G2;
2) Plenty of knots and buttons on body; best thing is the customizable button on the top left (AFL for my instance);
3) Best LCD I've ever used;
4) Feature-rich and qualified for bridge camera;
5) Good battery performance (garanteed to 230 however lavishly I used).
6) Very accurate built-in flash and its control.
7) In-camera image tilting.
Con's
1) Electronic zooming w/o steps like G200, making it difficult for accurate framing;
2) Virtually useless OVF - dim, blank and prone to flare;
3) Shutter lag even when in MF and AFL;
4) Drive speed;
5) No separate dial for aperture and shutter control;
6) Noise begins @ISO200.
Updated: 7) The shutter button doesn't have a clear half-press stop.
Problems:
Occasionally - just once - the AF brackets blinked randomly on LCD in every 10 seconds or so....I checked and the Servo mode was off.
