I was looking for something small and capable and decided to move on the Panasonic G1 and so far I am impressed with the output of the lenses and there size. The 45-200 Lumix zoom when compared with my 80-400 Nikkor zoom tells the story of the future of Micro 4/3 - small and capable.
The EVF is absolutely amazing to my mind. This camera has to be experienced to be appreciate. Battery life has been excellent with extended use, shot to shot speed is above average, and shutter lag is a good as some dSLR shooters.
I have the 4/3 adapter and am using the Olympus 25mm F2.8 with lens firmware 1.2 and works very well, especially at 2.8. I am hoping to get a Micro 4/3 Leica adapter - how useful it will be is only speculation at this point. I have a bevy of M mount lenses I want to try on the G1 - manual focus of course.
Someone in a previous comment said the Pentax K-m was smaller it is not. Important to note the size of lenses when compared with others.
Problems:
No specific problems to date.
Important will be Panasonic to follow through with their Micro 4/3 lens road map over the next 7 or 8 months.
