For the money, and they are out there for $100 or LESS brand new, this is a honey of a camera, size features HD video capable, 5x zoom.. and a whopping 12mp... so much for so little.
I wanted a high MP but compact size camera, and this fits the bill. I fits in your pocket, has great features, a nice wide array of preset photo options, an actually USEFULL in camera stitched panoramic mode that with practice, is easy once you get the hang of it. several choices for color, special effects, etc. the 2 AA bats ( see below) last a respectable amount of time, I have had good results for such a small camera, using the flash.
This camera saved my Grand Canyon pictures, when both my main AND my brothers cameras all conked out on battery power.
Yes, there are probably better featured cameras out there, of course there are, but i wanted a cheap, high MP camera with at least a 5x zoom.. this is it. I got it for $99 online. takes SDHC cards as well.
a great second point and shooter, backup, or someones first mainstream intro camera.
Problems:
2 problems.. 1, is a semi-issue. It requires premium AA rechargeable batteries. I have numerous sets of older 2200-2500mah bats, and if they arent almost brand new, the camera just WONT power up.
I bought 3 sets of new AA 2500mah bats,, and they work just fine.
only actual issue, the lens cover refuses to fully deploy, it only covers half the lens now, not sure why, it just "did this" one day, it wasnt dropped or anything.
