I've been using the F200 for some week now and I'm quite satisfied. Image quality is very good. The higher Dynamic Range seems to be effective. Noise is well controlled up to iso 400, iso 800 is still good. The F200 doesn't have various manual settings or raw as my other camera, the Finepix S100FS, but out of camera shots compare very favourably, with detail slightly (very slightly) inferior.
Pro:
- very good image quality
- effective dynamic range
- good zoom range (28 - 140 mm)
- good portability (fits in shirt pocket)
- good balance between Auto modes and manual settings
Con:
- Aperture setting: the leap from base aperture (F 3.3 - 5.1) to the second step of aperture (F 9.0 - 14) is quite excessive - I find the latter almost unusable (shutterspeeds too slow)
- battery power a bit short
- a bit pricey
Settings I use mostly: P mode at 6 MP (12 MP when I need more detail), iso auto400, DR auto, metering: spot. See some sample in my blog: vitaalpina.blogspot.com
