I purchased the SX1 for a lightweight vacation and walk about camera. The camera has a ton of features that would appeal to a single do everything camera. Unfortunetly it has one of the worst EVF I have ever encountered. What's going on Canon, this isn't like them. It looks like the EVF was an after thought and they used what ever was lying around. Because of this the bad shot to sucessful ratio jumps way up. It's almost impossible to judge an accurate focus using the view finder. To make matters worse the articulating screen is worthless in the sun or when the camera zooms way out. I am truly disappointed with this camera. I have been a long time Canon user and fan. I returned this camera at the cost of 15% restocking fee.
