I bought this camera to complement my Panasonic Fz28 for low light situations.
This camera was a big disappointment and I sold it in open market after 1 month.
Many many photos were badly focused, especially in low light but also in good light. I had 18-55IS kit lens. I bought another 1000d with kit lens from another store thinking my original one had a problem, but the new camera was equally bad.
Overall I tried 5000 photos with very different setting.
Also I hate to use the viewfinder. It irritates my eyes. There is a live view mode but it is very slow compared to my Fz28 and consumes a lot of battery life. Exposure and tone curve not pleasing either. Too little user settings and photographic options compared to my Fz28.
All in all disappointed by the image quality so I sold my 1000d and keep using my Panasonic Fz28 which is in my opinion much more reliable and stable camera.
