I got this camera to replace my similar 7.1 megapixel SD1000. According to the dpreview status, this camera's apeture can't open as large as the SD1000. This perhaps is why my lower light pictures don't seem as nice? I don't think I get anything out of the highest resolution except more noise; I'll be shooting at M resolution which is 8 megapixels. I expected an improvement from the SD1000, the only improvement I really appreciate is the way the camera looks. I'd take it back if the vendor I purchased it from took returns. I like this camera less than the SD1000 so far. We'll see how it goes.
Problems:
Noise when zooming in to an image. One of the LCD pixels is always on. Poor low-light photos.
