I picked up this camera on eBay, new, but discounted now two years after
introduction. Paid $577US for it. I found it a little small for my hand as I like a
larger grip, but it felt better than the Olympus E-620 that I tried for day. The JPEG
shots are just okay, but using RAW really brings out the best from the Leica lens.
The shots from RAW, once edited in PS or the included Silkypix, are very, very
sharp with great detail, contrast and colour. This lens is outstanding for this
money. The menu is well ordered, colourful and sensible. All the controls are at
hand and work well. The body and various switches seem a little plasticky, but
everything works as it should. The Leica lens is worth the price of admission alone
and works on my Olympus bodies as well (except live view). All in all, well worth
the money just for the lens.
Problems:
None so far.
