I bought this camera (while on a buisness trip in the USA) te be a smaller and lighter backup to my 450D, a camera that I can take anywhere. I am very impressed with the layout, the functions and specifically the 10x optical zoom. It is great value for money. Battery life is very good and the flash works brilliantly (no pun intended).
Unfortunately, flaring on daylight pictures especially at the edges is quite bad. So, in summary it is excellent for snaps, even for serious snapshots, but don't think of blowing up landscape pictures to A1 size, the red flaring at the edges will spoil the picture completely.
