Bought this camera after long i-net research, finally took the plunge and now i am happy with my decision as i was long time an no Canon Sayer.
Made in Japan!
That stands for quality, at least that´s what i experienced along past years.
Ans the S90 is Made in Japan.
So build quality is imho very good (but still plastic).
Metal tripod mount, positioned in the middle of optical axe.
Bright and clear 3" display. Imho better than the one on my LX3 (more natural colors).
Very easy ui, fast and i can quickly change settings.
The front ring is an real brilliant idea from Canon, very useful and thanks to changeable settings also very customizable.
Image quality, well, it´s still a small sensor inside, but than, for what it is, it´s very good. What i like is the vintage setting, great and quick color change possible
Finally i am for the first time in this year 2009, very satisfied with this purchase.
Kudos to Canon.
Problems:
No problems, but may be to early.
What i don´t like:
. kinda high price for an pocket cam
.no HD movie
