OK, it's been over a year since anyone posted anything here, and probably this will never be read. However. I have had this camera for several years and I am still trying to find the right one to replace it. I wish manufacturers would pay attention to the form factor of this camera. It is the right size, the right weight, handles well, and has enough lens. Things they keep screwing up on new "superzoom" cameras and other potential upgrades: 1. No viewfinder - what could they be thinking??? 2. they keep using itty bitty sensors and cramming more pixels onto them with predictable results. If even I know this is idiotic, why don't they? 3. The micro 4/3 interchangeable lens cameras are great except - shouldn't a simpler camera cost half as much as a base SLR rather than twice as much? (Oly 620 vs. Pen II)
Problems:
Not enough wide angle. I just leave a wide angle lens on it most of the time. Lame performance in low light. I set it for ISO 100, aperature priority f4 or 5, use a tripod and let it figure out the exposure time. I've gotten surprisingly good night photos this way. For low light people pictures, just use a different camera.
