I bought the NX10 recently and have been impressed by its ergonomics and image quality, especially with the bright f2 pancake lens.
I had considered compacts with bright lenses, like the Canon S90, Panasonic LX3 and the 4/3s, all small enough to carry around. However, because of the small sensors on the compacts and the cost of the 4/3s I was reluctant to go with one of these.
With the pancake lens fitted the NX10 is reasonable compact compared to SLRs. However, it will not fit in anything other than a large coat pocket. With the 18 - 55mm lens fitted it is not much smaller than an entry level SLR, but I've only used this lens twice so not a problem for me.
The NX10 with 30mm pancake suits my needs and will fit in a belt pouch (Lowepro Apex 60 AW). Considering its cost I think the NX10 offers excellent value for money at this point in time.
The sensor that switches the screen to EVF can now be switched off, so that either the EVF or the screen can be on permanently, with firmware 1.15. Well done Samsung for such a fast fix!
The more I use this camera, the more I like it!
Problems:
Would like to see the proposed Macro lens sooner rather than later!
