I am still a big fan of the S90, but the S100 has many features that are more useful to me such as:
- more useful focal range
- does better in low light (up to and including ISO 1600; 3200 and above suitable for only snapshots)
- excellent auto white balance
- fast continuous mode
- very good video quality (mine does not have the flickering some have experienced)
- built-in neutral density filter
- ergonomics have improved by leaps and bounds
I don't regret my purchase and expect to keep and use the camera for a very long time.
Problems:
- needs a button to manually pop-up the flash
