I admit I swap out my side belt camera (camera I take everywhere!) about every year, 2 years at the most....I love trying out new pocket cameras. I've used the G10 (Lovely shots but too heavy for your belt or pocket.) Some Panasonic super zoom cameras (the images were fuzzy usually.), and super small Elph cameras by Canon. (OK, there are excellent and small!). But the one that seems to have it all right now is the SX230. The video is freaking awesome.....yes. You can grab this off your belt and be shooting excellent video in a second! The images are very good as well. But why is this camera my favorite so far besides all that? It has a 14X zoom! Now, that's what I'm talking about!
Until something else catches my eye.....(and nothing has for the last 6 months or more...) this is the one that goes everywhere my DSLR can't.
Problems:
The battery doesn't lasts very long. I have 2 extra batteries for it in my pocket, ready to go ---also at all times!
