I wanted a shirt pocket take everywhere camera and this is the best one I could find at a reasonable price, $200 at Costco. It meets my needs for photos and the video is surprisingly good. Macro is very good. It doesn't have a lot of manual controls but for that I will use my Canon G12 or Nikon P7000, or for more serious photography, my Nikon D300. The capabilities this camera has in a tiny size would have cost megabucks 10 years ago. One other thing, the zoom range is perfect for a camera of this class. It is my constant companion.
