I found this FF lens to be far better than the equivalent Canon EF lens. It's quite sharp, has good contrast, and CA is not a problem. It is prone to lens flare due to the position of its front element so you will need to use a good lens hood. AF speed is on a par with the equivalent Canon lenses (non-USM). Construction quality is adequate - not rugged but certainly better than the equivalent EF lenses. The lens barrel is a bit larger than most Canon kit lenses and easier to grip. There is no IS.
This lens is an excellent value and highly recommended for those with a small budget.
Problems:
Slow focus (for a Canon) and no full-time MF.
No IS.
