X100S - Full Wedding

Looks like X100s is up to the task. I would be happy with those photos for my own wedding. Well done and thanks for sharing.

What flash did you use (if you used flash at all) to shoot this wedding? I'm debating whether to pair my X100 with EF-20 or EF-42.

very artistic compositions you made there (excluding that slipper one; I think you shall remove that one :)

congratulations..

x100s gave very natural images.. feels like old film cameras like leica..

may I asked you which color adjustment you use.. are they camera edited or PC edited?

I think they are low in color saturation? and also contrast? from camera?

Hi Brian,

no question, thats a great piece of work. Thanks for sharing these outstanding pictures.

Regards,

Daniel

I was just thinking the same thing to myself when looking at Brian's site. If he didn't tell us that it was shot with the X-100S, I would have never guessed that it wasn't done with a high end DSLR.

Further proof that it's more about the archer than the arrow, and that the Fuji X System is up to the task of pro level work! Great job Brian and thanks for sharing.

How come the noses are not big with the wide lens?

How come they look normal?

Great photos, you clearly have lots of skill as a photographer and a good eye - they're all interesting shots, well composed, etc. I just really don't like the PP you employ, sorry :S. To me they look like they've been printed off and left in a shirt pocket where someone has chucked said shirt into the washing machine without checking the pocket first.

I'm really of the opinion that obvious PP, while it may be quite 'in' at the time, within a few years or more will almost definitely be 'out' again. Like a haircut from the eighties. It seemed like a good idea back then, but looking at it now... Eek.

Whereas a good natural looking picture will remain good and natural looking for the rest of its life.

Amazing photos!! They're like scenes from The Godfather movie which I like a lot :D What film simulation did you use for pictures in color?

Regards,

Val

Thank you for this amazing series. It's obvious the camera was in talented hands but it was remarkable that those talented hands have proved once more what could be done with one camera and one lens.. Sometimes less is more; not any different than what some of those we admire as being the masters of photography used to tell us decades long...

Bloody hell. Great job. You really understood the limits of the camera and how to squeeze real results out of it. Thanks for sharing.

Did you use the WCL-X100 converter with any of these, or all 'naked' X100S?

Not bashing the X100S, but the many amazing pictures - IMO - reflect more the photographer's excellence/skills than the system's quality/usability for this kind of work...

Best regards,
Pedro

FANTASTIC shots, Brian. Like others here, I'd be interested in what software you used to process your RAW files and what setting you used for the cool B&W and color look.

best,

Jake

Very impressive! Can I ask what HDR setting you used?
HDR? I'm curious what you saw that made you think any of these were HDR processed?
I'm referring to the Dynamic Range function on the X-series - which is a form of HDR. I'm curious which setting Brian used (AUTO, 100%, 200% or 400%).
