The New S40 Gallery

Nice photos! Tell me how you had the in-camera sharpening, saturation and contrast settings. It looks like some of them had post-processing, as there is no EXIF data. What did you do for post-processing?

Also, did you take the photos in Auto, Program AE or what?

Very beautiful photos. S40 is a great Camera!

How many CF card did you take with you?
Did you get a tripod with you?

Take a look to my site to see a loto of shots taken with S40.
I'm thinking to upgrade to the new G3 (explecially 4 the very luminous lens)

Hi there Antonio ,
Good to hear you like my photos .

I bought only 1X256MB CF when i was in thailand and it was ok because i burned the data on cd when it was full.
I haven't used a tripod.

And your gallery rocks ... !
What a great panorama photo of the icedlake.

Well , as a matter a fact you can tune inside the camera the saturation, contrast and sharpness , and in some pictures (about 3-4) i used PSP7 to process the less focused pictures.

I used all the modes of the camera so i don't quite remmember what mode i used for each picture... sorry

Going to Phuket in December - your shots have certainly wetted the appetite. Taking a Dynax 7 and a Dimage 7i - it will be interesting to do a side by side comparison [Fuji Sensia slides will be scanned on to a Nikon Coolscan 1V]. I would have taken my Ricoh GR1s as a carry anywhere compact but I lost it recently in France. I have to decide whether I replace it with another one or go for a Canon S45 or Olympus D40. Any thoughts?
