Hi,

I'm still learning my a57, & will be for some time... I am wondering if the mechanism of SteadyShot makes the sensor move forward and back from the lens enough to affect autofocus positioning in very tight depth-of-field situations? Is it better practice to manual focus when using tight depth of field, or is the movement of the sensor somewhat insignificant?

Thanks for any thoughts!

Solution
The sensor only moves in the other 2 planes for stabilization. it won't affect your DOF. but it can affect sharpness if you use it on a tripod
