Hi all, what exactly is the Q90 from Manfrotto. their site doesn't seem to describe it and searching google doesn't turn up anything. Is it just an easier way to put the center column horitzontally? if so, then what is the difference between a Q90 tripod with a center column versus a non-Q90 tripod with a center column?

Not sure where you were looking but this is taken directly from their website.

"Q90° column

The ingenious Q90° quick center column system allows the user to move the central column from vertical to horizontal position in just seconds without having to disassemble the column."

If you go to this link http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produ...0CXPRO4_190CXPRO4_4_Section_Carbon_Fiber.html and select "Item Demo" you will be able to see a video that demonstrates what exactly the Q90 does. Just skip to the 1:17 mark.

thanks for the video. so with tripods with a center column and without Q90, does it mean you can't put the center column at 90 degrees?

thanks. now i know if i get a manfrotto, it will have to be a Q90.
