Hi all. First time poster here. I bought Canon 60D with Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Lens and looking for another lens for taking indoor pictures. What are affordable lenses for this purpose?

There's lots of kinds of indoor pictures. What do you want to do?

All you have is a 70-300? That's a rather limiting choice.

The traditional affordable fast lens for Canon is the 50mm f/1.8. This lens is very inexpensive and relatively sharp. It is, however, quite tight for indoor use. You may find yourself hitting walls as you back up for photos.

I would suggest a different tack, which is to get a normal zoom and an accessory flash. Canon has several normal zooms of which the 17-55 is the best but is quite costly. I have the 18-135, which is OK. I would recommend the 15-85. Then get a bounce flash such as the 430-EX. Now you have indoor photography completely covered.

50mm F1.8 is good to try and is affordable. But for more versatility theres the sigma 17-70mm F2.8-F4. Pretty decent and not too expensive.

The Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 without VC costs around $425 new. You can look for a used one to save money. Try keh.com, B&H, and Adorama for a new or used one. You could get a 50mm f/1.8 or 35mm f/2, but then you would still have no wide-angle.
