If you aren't a regular reader of the hompage you may not have heard that DPReview is running a user poll right now for camera of the year.

As of writing, the Olympus E-M5 is in second place behind Nikon by 1%.

We want to show how much Olympus' innovations like 5-axis IBIS and Live Bulb/Time are amazing so we can find those innovation in future Olympus cameras. Vote for the E-M5 at:

Wow! Neck and neck at 22.3% for the E-M5 and D800E. Even as a fan of Olympus, I'm so used to being perceived as using the underdog brand that something like this really surprises me. Olympus really has a hit and I hope it translates to continued growth and innovation that is well received by photographers

Let's hope they don't squander the new success with fraudulent fake buyouts of non-existent companies. ;)

Cheers,

Seth

living life to the Four Thirds!

This probably should be moved to the Micro Four Thirds Forum (especially since they don't have a copy!), but I'll leave it here...just to help Olympus!

I'm not a newb, having been on DPR for 10 years. In the M4/3 forum there's been several posts on the topic, whereas here no one's mentioned it.

Espcially with news that the next FourThirds camera will be a hybrid of that and Micro FourThirds, I thought it was important for ALL Olympus owners to rally around the latest Olympus technology...that's the reason I posted this thread here.

Some of my response from that thread:

Not everyone visits the homepage of DPR...I only found out about the poll myself when someone posted about it in the Micro FourThirds forum, otherwise I wouldn't have known about the poll. That's why I posted in the FourThirds forum for other Olympus users to see.

As for posting on other sites, it's for letting DPR members who aren't on DPR regularly of the existence of the poll...personally I've never encouraged people to join DPR just to vote.
