Bill: Nice photo, clear and sharp. The HX200 does not get much praise here, but I love mine and the more I use it the more I like it. At current prices there is a lot of capability for a relatively small price.

Hi Bill,

Lovely shot, very vibrant colours, great, well done.

I have recently acquired a HX200 myself and can't wait for some decent weather to actually go out and use it.

Thanks for posting.

Regards

Brian

Hope you have fun with it. Takes amazing video also. be sure to leave "NR" at default setting. A glitch makes minus and plus settings set to plus!

I think if you step sharpened and printed small, it would be all you'd need for photo albums.

Very nice Sir! I just wished I have enough time like you guys for a photo walk or something. I am still busy with my 12hour job and is trapped within my room, with a couple of cockroaches and mosquitoes to take a shot with.. XD

..a normal day with RX1 and RX100 posts flooding this forum..MORE HX200v's please!.. :-D

I would love to see the other HX shooters return.

Only thing I find different in processing it's images is to apply Topaz DeJpeg filter to it's images to tone down the JPEG artifacts on it's highest quality setting. It's not a noise problem with it but the artifacts. Topaz DeJpeg is quite good at reducing the artifacts as long as you apply it first on the straight out of the camera file.

Once I do that I just follow the same PP as with my a700 photos.

No I don't print poster size prints, but it does well large onscreen and with fair size normal prints, about all I do with photos anymore.
