I have a 64 bit Win 7 installation with an AMD Radon 6700 series video card and an AOC 2260w monitor.

The calibration from my ColorMunki was good except for the fact that pale grey in a B&w image was slightly flesh colour.

I then realised there was a Preference drop down in the CMunki software and I altered my setting from CCFL to Wide Gamut CCFL. Both the LUT and ADC boxes are ticked.

My greys no longer have the tint.

I am pleased but wanted to make sure I have done the right thing.

The 32 bit Win 7 machine I am typing this message on has the same type of AOC 2260w monitor but the display driver is a NVIDIA GeForce 8400GS. In the CMunki preferences on this machine the Technology Type box simply says No Entry. Can someone tell me why, please?

Thanks in advance,

Tony

So boring............that nobody responded.

My snag is that today, after turning the PC off and on, the new profile has the warm tones in the pale gray area.

My guess is that the profile is not being totally written to disk - or not reloaded.

Any ideas you PC wizards out there?

Tony.

May be worth your while to repeat this question in the Printing or retouching forums.

I have seen many references to color management and Colormunki related problems there.

The PC Forum seems to be more specific to hardware only, rather than imaging results.

Thanks Pictus.

That is a help.

In fact I seem to have got the setting to 'stick' after a reboot by using the advice below:-

I am not sure what was the key factor. I did the lot. Maybe it was simply that I was using an outdated software version. My PC in my studio is not on the internet and I used the version on the disk that came with the device which was 1.0.0 and they are now on 1.0.2

What I cannot find on the internet is anything fuller than the Quick Start pdf.

For example the Preferences have a choice of Version - 2 or 4. I wonder which of those I use?

And Google would never have told me what you did about that AOC monitor.

Thanks again.
