we woke up in the morning and found Ricoh was no longer in the camera business what would you do ?

I'd rush out and buy a CX6 and a Black GRD 4 even though it's not really suited for my style of working it's just that it's such a beautiful camera.

Stupid ? yep that's me !

i would seriously contemplate suicide (especially if it is a bad hair day)

A something similar thread a while back had everyone rushing around and stocking up on Ricoh cameras as well.

So we are bored for new product, not really dissatisfied with what we already have and know.

I'd say that I saw it coming long before it happened.

nope, not stupid. Buy what you like. Ricoh cameras make great images. It's just too bad they sell so poorly.

I have a GRDlll and lV so I would do nothing...try to sell my GXR stuff as there would be nowhere for me to go with it.

I'd be very sad, and very happy.

Sad, because of the wonderful cameras Ricoh have made.

Happy, because I'd finally be able to afford a secondhand GXR with the 'M' adapter, so I could use my Voigtlander lenses with it.

But, mainly sad.

Ricoh has been "out of the camera business" in the USA before. I'd just keep working with what I have. If/when the GXR finally expires, I'll keep shooting with the M9, M4-2, X2 and CL. Or whatever else strikes my fancy.

They're just cameras. All of them.
