Over the top with the D800

Wonderful. Love the image, love the house, love the colors.

Looks as if one could step right into the image.

fantastic shot.

Very crisp and bright color. The lack of almost any shadow make you do a double take. You did a nice job putting in that sky.

I like the shot, but it feels unnatural because the shadows have gone missing...

yes - over the top but a good masking job

Great shot. Question, is it a very small house or is there more to it in the back?

Thank you ARB1: There are couple houses next to it, but this one is the most colorful. If you direct your attention to the top right of the bougainvillea you can detect some markings on the wall. For the past two years the plant leaves was almost none exiting. I was surprised to see it going again but not with the original glory, nevertheless a great subject that opens the door for "over the top" work. I am pleased to see how the final print shows. To finalize with the answer to your question, yes apparently looks like small cozy home. Regards: Oscar

One way of doing an mask would be to check which color channel has the most contrast against the sky, then create a new channel of it (copy), then use that channel as an mask, painting the sky black.

hideous PP, the focus is obviously set to the background (by accident I guess) and it was then over sharpened to make it look in focus. Not speaking about the processing, sorry, but you'd rather keep it simple than make it look like clown vomit.

Thank you FTH: All wrong, but I would appreciate if you got anything to contribute. I thank you in advance for the little of it. Your "assumptions" failed miserably. Try again. I really like you soooo much for your investigating report taking apart of how the picture was taken, Je, Je. I just posted this one to see if I can twist you like pretzel and I enjoy it every minute. Never had been this far on this site, but I think that you deserve it for your lack of class. Nothing wrong to make a comment, but the way you presented it is very cheap. I think you can do better with some training (or maybe not). Warmest regards: Oscar

no worries Mr. Oscar ! Maybe nobody dares to say it here to keep the social circle "family friendly" but if you post such an "over the top" pp photo, you may expect some heavy criticism. I am pretty sure you can do better than that, but this image is purely and simply terrible and not representing the quality of such a camera, it could have been done with any point and shoot. Try again !

Love it so crisp and clear , would u mind me asking how did u PP? Did u use any special softwere?
Thanks for sharing
