I've downloaded the zip file and unzipped the two files. Have seen no instructions for installing. Usually, you have to create a specific folder on the memory card and copy the files to it. Please pass me the necessary information. Thanks.

Do not put the files in any folder other than the root directory of the sd card. Otherwise the camera won't find them. So, copy the unzipped files to the root of the card, put it in the camera and turn on, go to setting 3 menu and select "firmware update". The camera should display the version number of its current firmware and the version number you are about to load. Once you confirm that you want to proceed, it will commence the process. Do not turn off the camera while the update is taking place.

It is all very easy. Just make sure the battery is fully charged before you start. It only takes a few minutes but you don't want it to run out of power in the middle of the update because that might brick it.

Hi,

I'm having an issue with my NX200, the shutter seems to be stuck and screen black. I've searched through forums and one suggestion was to update the firmware.

I've downloaded firmware 1.12, the instruction pdf on the samsung site didnt work but i read here to add the unzipped folders to the root of the memory card.

I've done the above, but it didnt work - in the firmware menu it only comes up with the firmware i currently have, im not able to select and new firmware or anything like that.

I thought i mightve done it wrong so ive put both the uzipped and the zipped folders in the root and every other folder on the card. Still not working.

Anyone able to shed some light on this (or my shutter stuck problem)??

Thankyou!
