Canon Rebel T2i Status

Now that the T4i has been released, has anyone heard if the T2i is actually being discontinued?

I've heard the same too but for what it's worth the T2i/550D is a damn fine camera. I'm not even tempted to upgrade to the T4i as I'm happy enough with my T2i and lenses. The 70D (if and when it arrives) might change my mind though

No, I haven't heard...haven't found anything on the Canon website either. I would guess it would be continued for a few months, but it's hard to say. It's still being sold...haven't heard of any supply issues. I bought my second Canon T2i (550D) for $429 (USD) at Frys this year. It was too good of a bargain to resist.

I agree. I have no interest in the later Rebel models. The 2Ti consistently delivers the goods. I find myself using it more than the 7D unless I need more fps. There are great deals on Craiglist for his gem.
