After shooting more and more with the XP1, I am honestly thinking about selling my D3's and lenses one day. For work and for fun, I think I pretty much have it covered, not to mention I am sure the XP1 will only get better with future firmware updates.

The only shortcoming I am unsure of is in the UWA department. Some of my work is in architecture and interior design. I have been happy with 14mm, 16mm, and 17mm focal lengths for those shoots (all 35mm equivalent). I realized that I have not picked up my SLRs for anything other than that since owning the XP1.

So I have the 18/35/60 Fuji lenses which I love, but was wondering if anyone had any experience with an adapter and a wider option. Any ideas?

It would be so nice to see Fuji do a native 8mm or 10mm.

There is no way I am the only one who needs or is interested in a UWA for this fantastic camera. Anyone?

No - you're not the only one interested, but I think the UWA market is seen as a bit of a niche by ALL camera manufacturers .... not just Fuji - i.e. something they will release eventually but not in the first batch of lens releases. A 12mm is due next year but not too extreme really - still in the 20mm (35mm FF equivalent) region I'd call 'normal'

Once you step out of the DSLR market, truly extreme WA are hard to find - that's probably why 35mm FF cameras still have a hold over many - easier to find fisheyes and truly extreme wides than in any other format. Still not a major share of lens sales though!

If you peruse this forum and other sites, the discussion is going on already. The only real viable compact UWA lenses at the moment are adapted M mount lenses (voigtlander 12 and 15mm). Fuji has a 14mm and a zoom that goes out to 12mm coming, but they're a ways off (fall and next year respectively).

There are no options for 10mm or wider at the moment (or known for a fact to be coming) other than adapting larger SLR system lenses, and aside from being a bit awkward, quality may vary depending on the adapter you buy, since wide angles are so picky about perfect margins to hit the sensor properly.
