Hi all,
sometime ago I had a Rollei sl 66 with a Mamiya Sekor 180 4,5 from Mamiya C330
http://homepage.mac.com/xpan/DailyPhotoDiary/2011-07/custom/0013.html

sold the Rollei and took the lens so now I adapted it to my Kodak by a macro bellow for focus

a flange from an old nikkor 50 1,8 (or 1,4 I don't remember anymore)

three rings from a china macro extension tube

some spacer to focus at infinite, brutally hand trimmed

a Linhof synchro compur from my technika 6x9

a flash bracket to hold it better

and that's all,

I love it.
here some shots

bee was kindly in, when I shot (on the tripod)

greetings

Nice conversion.

I used the C330 Mamiyaflex professionally for about 3 years (long time ago) and was fortunately able to pre-check the three lenses I bought as knew the London dealer personally. I tested the 55mm (two) the 65mm (3) the 80mm (5) the 135 (two) and the 180mm (two) and also the 250mm (one).

I bought the 55mm, 80mm and 180mm from the best performers - although the two 55mm were excellent as were, in fact, all the 80mm ones and the 180mm too. The 65mm were "dogs". The 250mm was OK but not what I needed anyway.

The Mamiyaflex lenses easily out performed the Hassel ones - especially as were not retro-focus (no mirror to move behind the lens) and the film was kept flat - unlike that in the Hassels that bent film so when in the film plane, the kink pushed the film out of the focus plane. A simple redesign of the film holder could have avoided that but seems the Swiss Precision was sadly lacking after all. Always struck me as odd that no one raised this serious issue as was a major design fault.

Agree, nice work and excellent shots. The bee is a fine example.

I have an old Novoflex bellows which won't fit on the SLR/n without an extra PK-13 extension ring to clear the pseudo/vertical grip.

Sure the pk-13 is a sturdy one not like my Chinese type, obviously is much expansive, whit my modular rings anyway I could fit the right measure for the mamiya 180 to focus at infinite.

Great! I live innovation especially with older stuff. That bee shot is wonderful. Have never seen one quite like that. Post more when you get the chance. Thank you!

where there's a will there's a way. Great work. Maybe, bees were made for photographers!

Re: Mamiya TLR lenses. First, a tribute to Mr. Mamiya, for creating the Mamiya Press, TLR AND RB67 system cameras. The Press lenses are outstanding.. I have limited experience with the TLR lenses. Like both the 65mm and 80mm. Bokeh with the 100mm was simply too jarring.

Hi all,

about bokeh I chosen to set this lens with the ten blades iris Synchro Compur shutter instead the original five blades iris Seiko just to trying obtain a softer and more progressive effect in the strong round lights, anyway I have to test it more.
