P510 macro

Just trying out macro mode on this Azalea.
It happened to choose iso 100.
What do you think?

Yep, one of the wonderful things we're finding with the P510 is the colours.

It isn't perfect but it is a wonderful tool to have, and takes the role of a workhorse very well.

One of the things I wonder about...look at the upper petals of the flower.

The texture doesn't seem to be there. I wonder if it's the limited depth of field, or movement, or what.
I have seen this in other pictures I have taken.

The upper petal might just be shadow preventing light from reflecting off the texture.

Here's my attempt, don't know the flower. I have only had the P510 for 2 days, but I love the LCD. I will be comparing it with my Canon SX40, both are neat cameras.

Looks like a begonia. It's a lovely shade of yellow this one. I think texture in a picture seems to be strongly related to lighting and angles of light - although this is about all I know. Great picture.
