Do you? If so, please provide some info on what you're experiencing and in what color body.

You need to be a bit more specific about exactly what the problem is. I know of one other particular complaint with regards to the paint, but it's difficult to tell if it is at all related to yours.

You already started a thread about this problem some time ago. Are you losing more paint? If so, then please describe. Otherwise, I fail to see the point of your post.

AS i posted b4, the metal edge of black version. After 3 weeks usage, right and the left metal edge have the paint lose problem too. I supposed to take the cam back to olypmus to replace the case last week but i found another one in a camera shop nearby has the same problem. I re-post it coz i found the paint is losing so fast after i used it several time. Any OMD owner got the same problem?

anyonehave that problem?
Hello Patrick

We all appreciate you informing us of this problem, as so many of the friends here are quite concerned. First, if you have a chance, please post some pictures. Second, please keep us informed. You would be doing a great service to many of the folks on this forum. I, for one, cancelled my pre-order based on what you had mentioned earlier, and have decided to hang in until such time when I can see a camera for myself in the stores . . . whenever that mysterious day arrives. :)

sure i will claify that problem with olympus HK soon, i will try to put a video on the web to show how to rub the paint off easily by finger. but if u don't mind that so called cosmetic problem, OMD is still a good choice in m4/3 sector. Anyway i really in doubt why most of the omd owner don't mention that, i really found that problem on 2 OMD. MAybe that is just very very tiny problem to them... well it is true, it won't affect the performance but the outlook only...

Must be problem with the black cameras only? I've been rubbing my silver camera all over and nothing feels out of the ordinary.

I only shoot JPEG =]

Please don't post a video of you rubbing your silver OMD all over, that might be kinda weird. Thanks

I need TP for my BungHole

From a pictue I have seen, the black paint rubbed off a part of the camera which is black on both silver and black cameras. The paint on my camera is still perfect after one week.

Most probably, they don't mention it because they don't have it. Seems to be only concerning rather isolated cases.

I tried it with my finder and again with a Kleenex. No problem. This doesn't mean you don't have a problem. Just means it is not with every camera.

Sounds like the OM-D comes with near instant photographer street-cred as a feature. Soon there will be "old-school" photographers pontificating about how auto-brassing makes people lazy, and how in the good old days cameras couldn't just brass themselves. In these modern times when any soccer mom or Joe Saturday-photographer can have a well-brassed camera with little to no effort, how will the die-hard purists be able to distinguish themselves?

Thanks for posting this. Am expecting the black omd this week and will definitely keep an eye on the paint. Will Olympus be replacing yours?
