Over the years, I've seen many posts from people disappointed with flash underexposure problems with the MKII - lots of people setting FEC to +2/3 or more - often blowing highlights in the process.

It might be too early to declare such a thing, but I've seen a significant improvement in flash/camera performance with my MKIII over my MKII.

That sounds like a plus point for MK III. Seriously MK II has that problem which unsettles me alot. And during processing if we push it, banding do occurs. Is pretty bad cause most of my prints are A3 - A0 in sizes.

Our 5Ds had that problem, too, so, if true, this is great news!

One thing weird i noticed, was that my 5DII is really hit and miss with the 580EXII, but works perfectly every shot when using my MT-24 macro flash.

Good to hear that they've fixed it with the MKIII

I have been waiting to hear about this so thanks kindly.

I tested my buddy's 5d2 and found that indoorz his cam needed +1 fec using ttl mode or no fec using average.

My 5d original was similar.

Nice to hear they improved on this and thanks for the news.
