Hello

Anybody tried PhtotArtMaster and Buzz.
If so whats the difference. Is buzz pro 2.0 worth the extra £'s ??
For now I'm thinking of getting both :-)
Many thanks in advance for your insights...

Check this review:

http://graphicssoft.about.com/library/products/aafpr_photoartmaster1.htm

PAM is a standalone version of Buzz for those who don't have a master application like Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro or Photo-paint, etc.

Getting both would be redundant, IMHO, based on a query I posted at about.com asking Sue Chastain, the about.com reviewer, the same question you asked.

PAM does not support all file formats, like, .PSD. That might be something to consider, too.

I have the BuzzPro package. To me the extra functionality and presets have been definitely worth the extra $$. Then again I use Buzz extensively. A casual user may not need/want the extras.

Hope this helps, Paul. Good luck.

If you use Photoshop, the big advantage of Buzzpro is that it runs inside of Photoshop, making it incredibly versitile. For example, you can buzz a copy of the background layer & then blend it with the unbuzzed layer, you can mask out some areas & double buzz others.

It's a lot of fun. Even though it's a bit on the costly side, I recommend it.

You can also buy buZZ.PIX. 1.0
The 10 effects in buZZ.PiX 1.0 are:

Simplifier One; Simplifier Two; Simplifier Three; Edges Colour; Edges Mono; Radial Screen; Radial Simplifier; Spread Black; Spread White; and Unsharp Mask.

It's 53 pounds and 2.0 is 93. This version contains all the effects I normally use.
