X10: Some night shots...

I love the color in the first. Where did you take them?

I think it could be done even with X10 if you care about exposure.
Assuming that you have a X10 which is less prone to blooming.
As DPR orb hunting shots document it.

Thanks for sharing! This is how I shoot at night, typically, higher ISO's...I"m not a tripod guy at all. That should help mitigate orbs, I'm still really considering getting an X10 to complement my X100...thanks! This post helps some too! By the way, I like BLUE ORBS!!! :-) Ha ha ha, just kidding...interesting building too!

Be careful, X10 is prone to blooming and orbs!!!
My settings are: M size (6 MP), DR 400%, Auto ISO 800 and A mode.
Because I hate blown highlights and like maximum DR which I can get.
With 12 MP you may have some surprises.
Check your camera before you buy.

As you said where is the point using a heavy tripod with a such light camera!

Great photos, thanks for sharing. My wife and I spent five and a half great years in Asia. I'll post some of my night time x10 Paris pics as soon as I can pry myself away from work.

I refuse to carry a tripod or monopod, so the x10 is a good fit for me.

Best regards, fred

Well done PhotOptimist, a very interesting & well shot set.

I love how the X10 maintains that fantastic color even at this level of light, can't say that for many(any?)of it's competitors.

Dan.

Thanks, Fred.
Asia has a lot of beautiful places and many photo opportunities too.
I keep exploring every day - this time in China.

I'd like too see your captures in Paris.

Thank you, Dan.
What you said about color is true.
As compact camera, X10 check a lot of boxes more than expected IMO.
