I see the D800 is a couple of oz lighter than the D700, but I am wondering if the grip is lighter as well?

I'm also curious. Is the weight of a D800 plus the MB-D12 the same, less than, or greater than that of the D4 or respectively the D3?

Also for people who have held it.

Do the ergonomics of the D800 with and without the MB-D12 seem to influence your perception on the weight relative to the D3/D700?

D800 is 31.75 oz
D700 is 33.6 oz
MB-D10 is 17.6 oz
D700+MD-D10 = 51.2 oz

D3s is 43.7 oz
D4 is 41.6 oz

This is what I know so far.... Oh, and the ergonomics of the D4 are to die for.... Feels so good in the hand (tried it out at CES 2012)...

With the battery pack and either of the two battery options the D800 is likely to be heavier than the D4, just as the D700 with the MB-D11 is heavier than the D3. Difference though is that the battery pack can be removed when not needed to have a lighter and more compact body.
