Okay something odd which is affecting my prints. When I export a raw to jpg from lightroom I select sRGB (it's always ticked). However, when i check the EXIF data on the file in windows it has color representation as blank. (The file prints incorrectly to).

When I save a raw in CS5 and open the EXIF the file quite clearly states sRGB under color representation. No matter what I do I cannot get lightroom to do this and it's obviously impacting on the prints. It's making lightroom useless and I don't want to switch to CS5 exclusively. I like my lightroom editing.

I've got it set to sRGB, it's ticked output to sRGB. What the heck is going on?

Does anyone have any answers. Please read this through.

First I would recommend that you go to Lightroom> Preferences and click on the External Editing tab. Then set up exactly how you want the image file exported to Photoshop CS5. You can choose which format, which color space, which bit depth, the resolution, and compression.

See if that helps.

I'm sure that you will get many more helpful replies if you posted this in the digital darkroom forum

You've missed what I meant. I don't generally do this. Most of the time I just edit in lightroom, export and done. I don't want to have to put it through photoshop for it to output as and RGB.

I could not duplicate your problem. Tried it in both Lightroom 3 and Lightroom 4 beta on a Mac. I used the Export dialog set to JPEG and sRGB. I'm not sure where you "ticked" sRGB, because it is a popup menu in the Export dialog.

In Preview (a Mac app for displaying images, etc.) it shows sRGB.

Robin, ticked was the wrong choice of word. It's exactly as your screen on export with RGB selected on the drop down box. Does yours output to RGB when you check the EXIF with windows viewer? Damnit this is doing my head in!
