Has anyone used or have thoughts on the three of clampy holdy things. Both the Plamp and the McClamp - The Clamp, require something of a certain size to clamp to so you need to be using a tripod. The McClamp - The stick allows you to stick into the ground but not you tripod and the stick size would limit the height of reflector or plant you were holding. I was thinking, is there any reason why you couldn't have the flexibility of both by getting a McClamp and finding a suitable stick, that may even be adjustable and clamping your McClamp to that when you want but you can still clamp it to something else too? Anyone got any thought or experience with any of these. ta

I have a Plamp and a McClamp. The McClamp is longer and a bit more rigid than the Plamp. The clamp on the McClamp can grip heavier objects than the Plamp and the rubber insert does less damage to delicate plants than the clip on the Plamp. I really like that the McClamp has these two options. I've never used them for their intended purpose of keeping plants still in windy conditions so I can't say how they perform in this regard.
