Christmas lights with XZ-1

Downtown Grapevine, TX has a pretty elaborate seasonal lighting display. Normally, I would carry my DSLR but decided to try my new-to-me XZ-1. Below are some results, more on Flickr in my link below.

I just may go back tonight (weather permitting) and try my Canon S95 for a comparison between the two cameras.

Very nice shots. Did you shoot these in Manual? I copied your settings and will try them out later this week. My first efforts in night scene mode were just ok. I am on vacation and forgot to bring my tripod, so that is probably why mine are not as crisp.

Aha! An Xmas present for us XZ-1 owners... just put on ISO 800 and you'll get nice handheld shots at 1/80 or 1/60! Will try it soon... they are already putting up lights here in San Diego... thanks!
