I borrowed my mates 400mm Panagor lens which has a K mount. Regretfully I cannot get it off. I did not think this was a Ricoh type mount however it may be the cause. Any ideas for removing this lens. Tomorrow I will try to release it by using some feeler guages to try and depress the contact.
Thanks Dokker..

Tried that. Lens has a little movement back & forth but does not want to come off. I am returning home in 2 days and may have to lug the whole thing as hand luggage on the plane then take it to my camera shop for repair.
Cheers

Try pulling the lens away from the camera at the same time you are trying to turn it CCW.

Cheers.

Tried that but no good. I can only move it a millmetre. Might have to try a little more force!!
Cheers.

The only other thing I can think of now is that it might be an M42 screwmount lens that already had an M42 to K mount adapter on it when you installed it. If that is the case then you should just be able to unscrew the lens without having to press the lens lock button. Then just remove the M42 to K adapter.

Good luck.

You were right. Had an old adapter Asahi Pentax. By using a little more pressure with 2 people it fonally gave up and came off. Thanks for help.

Hi Brendan,

Glad you got it off.

You can make it into a K mount. if you want to, by removing the little spring from the adapter and then drilling a hole in the lens for the lens lock bar to slide into and out of.

Cheers.
