I have a problem with my K-5: all the four buttons surrounding the "OK" button on the back of the K-5 do not work. I had set the self timer to trip the shutter at 12 secs and am now unable to undo that, as I am unable to view the self timer options when I press the self timer button above the "OK" button.

I have tried removing batteries and have replaced batteries without any success.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thank you

Sounds like you've moved the AF Points Leaver to SEL(ect). The four buttons then default to moving around the AF points. Hold down the OK button (for about 1second) until the camera beeps so you are in drive, flash, WB & Colour Mode selection etc. (Hold OK for another second and you're back to the buttons being up, down etc) Obviously if you didn't want focus point select then move the lever :)

Anything so you can go back to enjoying the camera.

There is an indicator Icon (box with 4 triangles/pointers in it) which appears on the RHS of the view finder when the four buttons are working as up down etc.

FWIW: My Icon shows on the LHS of the viewfinder. :-)
