Can 16Gb SDHC Memory Cards Be Used On G1 Camera

Hi,

I have just purchased a Panasonic G1 camera. Can someone please confirm that 16Gb SDHC memory cards can be used on this camera. Firmware is currently v1.4.

Since the G1 doesn't have video, I never saw a reason to use that large of a card with it. However, in response to your question, I just pulled my 16GB Transcend card (class 10) from my G3 to give it a test. As far as I could tell, it seemed to function fine in the G1.

Hi,

Thank yoiu all for your help which is greatly appreciated.

I too do not use video and maybe 8Gb will be adequate for me. The cards are reasonably priced these days and I was thinking that the extra capacity would come in useful when on vacation.

I shall tune in to the forums more ofet now that I have a M4/3 camera. I am looking to use some of my older film camera lenses on it when I get some adapters.
