Beginner level, need a camera for Baby shots

Hi,

I am a beginner user that likes to fiddle with manual settings for the optimal shot. I need a new camera to take photos of my new born, since all the photos I take with my current camera gets blurry and usable.

I basically need something that have a really fast auto focus and shooting rate.
My price range would be something like DMC-FZ47

Maybe I will get the DMC-FZ40. The only concern I have with two cameras are, I dont need the long zoom, and they are big.

Something like the size of DMC-LX5 would be good. But I am not sure which camera have fast shooting. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
