it would be the perfect camera.
It may be a fake (probably is), but the specs don't sound too far off from a next generation - at least one I'd like to see.
If Canon is coming out with a new 5D, I would expect them to announce it this fall and begin delivery in December, i.e. that's what they did with the 5D2. The 5D was announced earlier, but still deliveries came roughly in time for the fall selling season.
It may depend to some degree on where the pro market sees its replacement cycle.

Yeah, I'd like to see it too. Which is why it won't happen. Think about it, it's perfect. 28mp, 45 point AF, 8fps... these are 1D and 1Ds level specs in a 5D body. The one camera to rule them all. They'd only be able to sell 1D's to people who absolutely needed top weather sealing.

rumors are 24MP, 6-7fps, 45pt AF for D800
I am eagerly awaiting the upcomming 5D aswell. I have the money ready, - only thing missing is the camera. So come on Canon.
My guess is that it's more than 28 MP, less than 8 FPS, - but only time will tell.
My hope is that is has at least some of the following features:
Better AF (e.g. like the 7D)
Better DR
Built in wireless
Fixed the issues that people are complaining about the video
But I think I am buying it almost regardless of the specs. Canon might disappoint some, but for sure the camera will be nice
Only show-stopper would be if the price is much higher than the 5D mk II (or if the mk III is worse than the 5d mk II, but I really don't think it will be).
GPS would be nice too, but not as important (at least to me) as the feature-improvements mentioned above.
