I had a yard sale on Fri-Sat, and had some time between working and the yard sale to get a couple of pics taken, all these pics were done on auto with no flash. I'm impressed with the picture quality of this little camera. It will do what I wanted to do with it.

Huh? why what does it do etc btw I just checked it and it is off! still the question arises as to why and what
in the first photo it can be off since it was shot in Auto mode, and in auto it can be disabled.
You should shoot in P mode and then disable the iContrast option in menu.

why? here the answer:
iContrast is a new feature that BRIGHTEN the dark area of the photo as the risk of increasing shadow noise.
  • iContrast works great on PORTRAITS, by brighten a subject's face, but...
  • iContrast works poorly on LANDSCAPE, by reducing BLACK to mediocre grey
iContrast OFF

iContrast ON
