When I tried multiple times to download the new firmware on to my 60d, I get an err 02 message. I have re formatted the card and tried and re-tried , but no luck. Any ideas what is going on? I have a transcend 8gb card in it. I bought 2 of them and one quit working the 1st day I used it. It doesn't seem like the card would have anything to do with it though???

Reformat the card and try it again.

1. Buy some quality cards (Kingston, Sandisk, Lexar, etc)
2. Find a 1GB card somewhere, use THAT for the upgrade
3. Format the card IN THE CAMERA

4. Put that card into the computer, and copy the extracted firmware file to the ROOT of the card.
5. Put card back in camera, go to the firmware update section, and have at it.

Good luck!!

I reformatted the card 3 times. Even unchecked the 'low level format' box. I will try a new card. I don't have a card reader to connect to my comp. Maybe just a new card will do the trick. thanx
