How long from Germany (Jens Adapter) to NYS via USPS?

I ordered Jens Lens Adapter, my credit card was charged July 14 so I assume it was sent out that day. Today is the July 21st which is 7 days since it was sent. I never received anything from Europe via USPS so I don't know whats a normal period of time of items being sent from Europe.

Anybody have an idea how long it usually takes via USPS?

It took mine two weeks to get here(GA). It's registered mail, so someone has to sign for it. I saw one thread where it took a week, but I think two weeks is the norm... BTW, it was never scanned by the USPS until delivered. I called USPS and was told they don't have to scan it.

I ordered one on 6/30. Jens received payment via PayPal on 7/1. Jens acknowledged receipt on 7/4 and sent a Deutschepost tracking number. As of today, 7/21, it has not yet arrived. Jens says it takes 1-4 weeks. Meanwhile Deutschepost tracking says it was delivered to the U.S. by 7/7. USPS has the tracking number and says they have received notice that the item is being "prepared to ship" in Frankfort. They have said the same thing for 2 weeks.

Short story: 21 days and still counting.

I transferred $$ on paypal to Jens account on July 4. He responded that he would ship July 5, which he did. I received it July 11 (I happened to have been at home when the mail carrier delivered it, so I was able to provide my signature to take delivery).

6 days from Germany to the mid-western U.S. Much faster than I was expecting.

I'm in Oregon, and it was a good two weeks for me. There must be some kind of "customs" or something once it gets to the US, as it just shouldn't take more than about three days for just about anything to go across the US. That might also explain why we've seen such varied times here in the US -- perhaps stuff gets "backed up" in Customs for a few days.

In the end, "patience" is advised.

It was the same for me, except it was here in two weeks. I don't know if it's luck of the draw or what, but mine appeared to sit in Frankfurt for several days and was never scanned by USPS saying they had it. I expected them to do that at least...

Try Canada Post sometime if you want to see how expensive and slow it can be to ship a package. USPS makes Canada Post look like the pony express.

I just received it a couple of minutes ago. I guess I'm lucky it only took 8 days but fits like a glove and very happy.
