Thanks for looking and taking the time to comment...

This is the Human Tornado and her pet gopher snake Warrior... he likes to snake thru her hair... when he pops out he uses his tongue to sample anything that might be food... here he is 'tasting' her two freckles to see if they are bugs... I have seen him do this before, but got lucky and caught him in the act...

Hi,

This is an excellent image - tight framing, expression - everything is spot on! :)

What kind of a snake is this (isn't it a toy)?

Have a great day/evening!

Hi Yanko.... it has been a while...

That snake is a Pacific Gopher snake. He is a year old. A constrictor, who in the wild eats mice, gophers, moles and lizards.... My girls are all about the snakes, lizards, frogs and bugs...

Hope things are well in your world... hopefully I will begin to pick up the camera again and get some of the old MF lenses back on the camera....

Love your signature tag line... "the sensitivity of my own perception"

I was shooting with a friend a few days ago... and he has 'the eye' I would walk right past the shots and he would stop and be shooting... even then I was not sure what he was actually shooting until he posted the images... I seem to have lost the 'eye' ~ not sure I ever really had it. But it is missing right now! haha

That's cool!

My SWMBO is irrationally terrified of snakes. She has a hard time even passing through the areas of the zoo which house them. I on the other hand, like them very much. Good to see a girl who isn't scurred! :-)
Thanks for sharing.

It's nice to hear that you are shooting and that things go well for you!

I am fine too - finally leaving Russia and moving back to south-east Europe in a month. Although I had a good payroll in the O&G business here I am glad I had the opportunity to move on and I won't be missing this place for a minute. So I will not have the privileged access to old Soviet glass any more, but also I will gain the access to places where there is actually something to shoot and weather that allows to do so. So if you have any requests or interest regarding some Soviet lenses now is the time for me to check these for you :)

Lately I bought and sold many lenses so now I am left with those that I really find to be keepers for me.

I upgraded to the K-5 and there is a big Pro and a smaller Contra in this - the Pro is that the K-x seemed to be the limiting factor in the lens-camera bundle, so these very same old lenses get even better in terms of resolution on the K-5. On the other hand with the K-5 the LV magnifications beyond 6x are with VERY small frame rate so they are useless for manual focusing, unless used on a tripod and this is a real pity for me.

Have a great day/evening!

I don't know about that mate! In my opinion you haqve always had the eye in spades! This an excellently rendered shot and tightly composed. Good to see you here abouts again Gus!

Cheers
