Tamrac Velocity 7 - Model 5747

Has anyone used this bag with the 707?

http://www.tamrac.com/ (find it under camera bags)

It seems like it would be perfect though the 707 is a bit smaller
than the typical SLR and I wouldn't want it to jangle around inside
the bag.

Thanks

Ive outgrown my little bag, and am looking for a waist or 'small' camera backpack. Shoulder bags get to be a pain after a while. Especially if you are moving around alot.

I agree. I have also outgrown my bag. Flash, filters, batteries, remote, etc etc...

Have you seen a price for it? I can't find one in the magazine where I first saw it, nor is it on their website.

Velocity 5 and Velocity 7 are like 45$ at bh photo. Same on ebay.
Much more than that at Ritz Camera (like 70$ for the v5)

Also have a look at the expidition 3 (or 4) from Tamarac. I have one and find it perfect for all of my camera stuff... the camera, sony zoom and wide, remote, flash, i got it all... and if you do have a lot of stuff, you can attach a couple of very hardy lens or filter pouches to the outside of it... I love mine.

I second what Joe_Izuzu wrote, I looked at the Velocity bag but I don't think it could hold all my equipment, I have the expedition 4, the 3 is smaller. The backpacks are a little more money but comfortable to carry all day. If your buying a new bag I would suggest you buy it a little bigger than what you need because will most likely buy new toys in the future to fill the space. (I now own 6 differnt bags or packs).

The expedition 4 for it's compact size can haul a lot of gear, this is what I put into mine:

707, flash, b300 teleconvetor, a digital wallet, remote, ultapodII, 4-5 cokin filters and adaptor, cleaning cloth, TRV-11 mini-dv camcorder, 3 tapes, spare batteries, memory sticks, cables and power cords, and a CD with software and manuals. You can also strap your tripod to the outside. If you need a little more space Tamrac has some accessories that you can tether to the side.
